Terms of service

Effective Date: September 25, 2026

These Terms of Service govern your use of the L'OKAPI CRAFT & PRESS website and your purchase of our products and services. By accessing our website, submitting an order, approving a design, or making a payment, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old or have permission from a parent or legal guardian to place an order. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information.

2. Products and Services

L'OKAPI CRAFT & PRESS provides laser engraving, personalized tumblers, embroidery, DTF printing, custom apparel, and related products and services.

Because many products are handmade or individually customized, minor variations in color, texture, grain, engraving tone, print placement, and appearance may occur. These normal variations are not considered defects.

3. Quotes and Order Acceptance

Quotes are based on the information provided by the customer and may change if the product, artwork, quantity, size, material, deadline, or customization requirements change.

Submitting an order does not guarantee acceptance. We may decline or cancel an order because of unavailable materials, unsuitable artwork, equipment limitations, safety concerns, suspected fraud, pricing errors, or prohibited content. If we cancel a paid order before production, the applicable payment will be refunded.

4. Pricing and Payment

All prices are listed in U.S. dollars unless otherwise stated. Applicable taxes, shipping charges, design fees, digitizing fees, rush fees, and other approved costs may be added to the order.

Full payment or a deposit may be required before artwork preparation, material purchasing, or production begins. Any remaining balance must be paid according to the agreed invoice or order terms.

5. Customization Information

Customers are responsible for providing accurate names, dates, wording, sizes, colors, quantities, and customization instructions.

We are not responsible for errors contained in customer-submitted information or in a proof approved by the customer. Changes requested after approval may result in additional charges and production delays.

6. Design Proofs and Approval

When a proof is provided, production will not begin until approval is received. The customer must carefully review spelling, design placement, dimensions, product details, and all other information.

Approval authorizes production and confirms that the design is correct. Screen colors are only a representation and may differ from the finished product.

7. Customer Artwork and Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of artwork that you own and submit to us. By submitting content, you grant L'OKAPI CRAFT & PRESS permission to use, resize, adjust, reproduce, and process it only as reasonably necessary to prepare and complete your order.

You confirm that you own the submitted content or have permission to use it. You are responsible for claims arising from unauthorized use of copyrighted designs, trademarks, photographs, logos, characters, or other protected material.

We may refuse content that is unlawful, threatening, hateful, defamatory, infringing, or otherwise inappropriate.

8. Design and Production Work

Original layouts, mockups, design concepts, recreated artwork, digitized embroidery files, and production files created by L'OKAPI CRAFT & PRESS remain our property unless ownership is transferred through a separate written agreement.

Payment for a finished product does not automatically include editable design files, embroidery files, templates, or production settings.

9. Production and Turnaround Times

Turnaround times are estimates and may begin only after payment, final artwork, required materials, and proof approval have been received.

Rush service is not guaranteed unless confirmed in writing. Delays may occur because of product availability, equipment issues, shipping carriers, severe weather, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

If an online order cannot be shipped within the promised period, we will provide notice and available options as required by applicable law.

10. Shipping and Delivery

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address. We are not responsible for delays or losses caused by incorrect information supplied by the customer.

Risk of loss may transfer according to applicable law and the shipping carrier’s terms. Report damaged packages promptly and retain the product, shipping box, and packaging for review.

Delivery dates provided by carriers are estimates unless a guaranteed service has been purchased.

11. Pickup Orders

If pickup is offered, customers must wait for confirmation that the order is ready. Orders must be inspected promptly after pickup. We are not responsible for damage occurring after an order has been accepted and removed from the pickup location.

12. Customer-Supplied Items

Customer-supplied products must be approved before customization. Materials, coatings, hidden defects, previous wear, and manufacturing differences may affect the outcome.

Although we handle items carefully, customer-supplied products are processed at the customer’s risk. Replacement of rare, sentimental, discontinued, or high-value items is not guaranteed unless agreed in writing before production.

13. DTF Transfers and Application

DTF transfer results depend on the garment, heat press, temperature, pressure, pressing time, peeling method, and care process. Customers are responsible for following the supplied application instructions and testing a transfer before beginning a larger production run.

We are not responsible for garments or transfers damaged by incorrect application, incompatible materials, household irons, washing, storage, or misuse.

14. Cancellations, Returns, and Refunds

Custom and personalized products are generally final sale. Cancellations may be accepted only before materials are purchased, artwork is prepared, or production begins.

Returns, replacements, and refunds are governed by our Return and Refund Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms.

15. Care and Product Use

Customers are responsible for following product-specific care instructions and using products for their intended purpose. Damage caused by improper washing, excessive heat, harsh chemicals, impact, misuse, or normal wear is not considered a manufacturing defect.

16. Website Use

You may not use our website to engage in fraud, upload malicious code, interfere with website security, collect information about other users, violate intellectual-property rights, or engage in unlawful activity.

Website content—including text, graphics, branding, photographs, and layout—may not be copied, reproduced, or commercially used without written permission.

17. Third-Party Services

Our website may use third-party services for payments, shipping, analytics, marketing, or other functions. Those providers may have separate terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party websites or services outside our control.

18. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our website, products, and services are provided on an “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that the website will always be uninterrupted or error-free.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

19. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, L'OKAPI CRAFT & PRESS will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from website use, delayed events, customer-supplied content, misuse, or improper product application.

Our total liability relating to a specific order will not exceed the amount paid for the affected product or service, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

20. Indemnification

You agree to be responsible for losses, claims, or expenses resulting from your violation of these Terms, misuse of our services, or submission of content that infringes another party’s rights, to the extent permitted by law.

21. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any legal proceeding relating to these Terms will be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction in Broward County, Florida, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

22. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

23. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Changes apply prospectively unless otherwise required by law.
